What is all this for?
What is the point of any of this?
These new things that we do. We post things to the internet, where it’s meant to be seen by the people we choose to let see, but it’s also there for all and eternity whether we like to realize it or not. And the majority of the time, no one really cares whatever it is you post. Yes there will be some people that will “like” it or “favorite” it because they honestly do care and are interested in whatever it was but some will just skim through it on their phone or computer, not think twice and “double tap” or star it.
I believe some of us do know this, or at least have the thought of this somewhere in the back of our head. But we refuse to acknowledge it because we like to think we’re apart of a world that there are people that do sincerely and genuinely care about us and what we’re doing and what we’re thinking.
Don’t worry, I also do this as well. I am not typing this and thinking that I am better than everyone and that I don’t post anything to Twitter or Instagram. I do, trust me I do. I am also apart of this new thing we do. I guess I too hope there are people out there that care.
You remember too much,
my mother said to me recently.
Why hold onto all that?
And I said,
Where do I put it down?
